10 Countries, 2 Months, 2 Guys

Micah, and I are backpacking across 10 countries in Europe over the next 2 months.

Hi Friends!

I have some exciting news that will hopefully bloom into something big for this newsletter! My friend, Micah, and I are backpacking across 10 countries in Europe over the next 2 months.

UPDATE: While in Venice we decided to tack on an extra country to the end of our trip. We took a bus from Prague, Czech Republic to Budapest, Hungary and spent three days there before coming home. The Hungarian baths are nearly as famous as the Roman baths and one of our afternoons was spent soaking in mineral-rich hot tubs and swimming in ice-cold, Olympic-sized pools. Then we dried off with paper towels and hand dryers in the bathroom because we had no towels...

While this trip will be a wonderful adventure in and of itself, I'm really looking forward to the byproduct. We discussed our expectations and have come up with some fairly heavy goals. Many of these goals are philosophical or spiritual in nature which means a lot of deep conversations are to come.

I want to get y'all in on it!

I will be blogging periodically (maybe not as often as I would like depending on wifi availability) and Micah may even write a few guest posts. These will be lagniappe. I have already written and scheduled the weekly posts that will continue to go out each Monday morning.

THEME: Story

We have both recently been obsessed with this idea of "story". What does it mean to live a good story? How can we live a story worth retelling? What story can we write that will leave a lasting impact on generations after us? It has been a heavy theme among my work here on the blog and has been a huge part of Micah's creative work as he continues to work on (and soon finish) his screenplay.

“Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.”
— Benjamin Franklin

Hopefully, in our journeys, we will be doing something worth writing - and for your sake, writing something worth reading.

Please, keep us in your prayers! With love and hope,

SETTING

Our first stop will be Dublin, Ireland. Micah is there already, participating in a study abroad program. I will fly into Dublin and meet up with him there to begin our adventure!
